Handed down from the local stores that were a staple for cycling in our community for over 30 years, Bayou Bike Rentals is now flying solo. We still offer the highest quality customer service and love for cycling. All of our customers have the same thing in common, and that’s Family, fun and enjoying time together riding a bicycle. Terms and Conditions
This Contract and Release is entered into on the date above by and between Bike Barn on the Bayou, LLC d/b/a Bayou Rentals, the adults whose names and signatures appear and the minors whose names and whose guardians’ signatures appear (together, said adults and minors are the “Participants”).
Participant is responsible for all equipment during the duration of your rental. If participant has declined Damage Waiver Fee, they are financially responsible for damages, loss or theft of equipment. Participants financial responsibility will include the cost of repairing or replacing the damaged, lost, or stolen equipment.
IT IS HEREBY AGREED AS FOLLOWS:
Bayou Rentals hereby rents to Participants, and Participants hereby rent from Bayou Rentals, the equipment listed by inventory number, Ancillary equipment (locks, helmets, etc.) will be provided per Bayou Rental policies and is included as part of the rental.
Participants assume full responsibility for bicycles, other equipment and ancillary items either rented or used for participation in a guided tour (collectively, the “Equipment”) and agree to compensate Bayou Rentals for damages caused to Equipment, excluding normal wear and tear (“Damages”), and for theft, during the rental period and for such time thereafter until the Equipment is returned to Bayou Rentals, according to the lost equipment price list displayed at the rental
All rentals are for a one (1) hour Additional time will be charged according to Bayou Rentals published rates. Daily rentals are due back the same day by closing time. No refunds on early returns. A late fee of $25 per each piece of equipment will be charged for any Equipment returned after stated closing time. Any rental items will incur late fees based on normal rental rates until the item is returned.
Participants represent they are in sound medical condition and capable of operating Equipment without risk to themselves or Participants represent they have no medical or physical impediment which would endanger others or themselves.
Participants understand that a bicycle is defined as a moving vehicle subject to all traffic laws, signs, rules and regulations, and agree to adhere to said laws and Bayou Rentals rules and regulations for operation of Equipment. Use of mobile telecommunications equipment is prohibited while operating Equipment.
Bayou Rentals provides a helmet free to all Participants. Bayou Rentals strongly recommends that all Participants wear a helmet while operating the Equipment, and seek instruction from Bayou Rentals staff in the safe operation of the Participants under the age of 18 are required by law to wear a helmet when operating Equipment.
Participants consent to and permit emergency medical treatment in the event of injury or illness and accept that any costs incurred with respect to emergency medical treatment will be the responsibility of the Participants.

Liability Waiver

IT IS HEREBY AGREED AS FOLLOWS:
In consideration of being permitted to participate in a guided tour and/or rent and operate the Equipment, the use of which is hereby acknowledged to be an inherently dangerous and risky activity, each Participant on his own behalf, and on behalf of each minor whose name appears above and with respect to whom the adult Participant is the legal guardian, his heirs, assigns or legal representatives (each of the foregoing is a “Releasor”) does hereby release, indemnify, and agree to hold harmless Bayou Rentals, its officers, directors, representatives, employees, agents, partners and other participants of, for any and all losses, costs, damages, claims, demands, rights and causes of action of whatever kind or nature, and including any and all negligence claims or causes of action, which may arise and which result from illness, personal injuries, property damage, death or of any other damages or injuries, not included herein, occurring during or resulting from participation in a Bayou Rentals tour and/or tour.
